Organic Dried Kinkéliba Leaves
Kinkéliba* (Combretum micranthum) is a shrub of the Combretaceae family, which grows in the Sahel countries (Senegal, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau) where its dried leaves are consumed in herbal tea. Kinkeliba is often eaten at breakfast instead of coffee or tea. Kinkeliba is used in traditional African medicine for its diuretic, depurative and digestive properties. It is used as an infusion against constipation, to stimulate biliary function and promote bile excretion. It is also effective as an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial and in the protection of liver cells. It is sometimes recommended as an accompaniment to fasting or diets, weight loss diets or in cases of constipation. Kinkéliba contains tannins, betaine, nitrate of potash, glycosides, polyphenols. * certified FR-BIO-01, non-EU organic farming * Vegan, vegetarian diet compatible
